Encouraging Those Who Are Discouraged With Their Ministry

In 2 Corinthians 7:5-6, Paul discusses his unhappiness, his conflicts and the hardships of his ministry. He had even become discouraged by his circumstance.

I can say from experience, that the hardships that come with any ministry, can and will bring about doubts and discouragement.

The constant hardships and conflicts that Paul faced everyday, at times, caused him to fear. But then towards the end he reminds us of the kind of God we serve. "But God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us."

In other words, we serve a God who encourages His people.

Paul openly shares with the Corinthian church, the challenges he and his ministry partners faced. "We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside."

It is easy to lose heart and quit. We all have been there at some point. However, rather than quitting when things wear us down, concentrate on the inner strength that comes from the Holy Spirit. See Ephesians 3:16

Paul says, "That is why we never give up". Don't let today's pain, troubles and issues of life cause you to to lose heart. 2 Corinthians 4:16.

The scripture is true that says, For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. Heb. 4:15. This let's us know that we serve a God that understands our issues and life's circumstances and the ups, the downs and the pains of life and ministry.
