Every
now and again, God raises up someone with a courageous voice to
say what many are whispering about in the pews, but will not say
publicly. - F. L. Anderson is such a one.
Author
of three books, his latest, Clever
Lies and Assumptions, F. L. Anderson is a writer and teacher
of the Gospel with a special gift to clarify, expound and proclaim
the Word of God.
"He
breaks it down and makes it plain."
Anderson is known to be a reformer who challenges Church issues,
perceptions and doctrines that are not biblical but rather old and
traditional assumptions.
Anderson
began his work in ministry in a traditional church as a Youth Sunday
School teacher in 1998 and as Deacon in 2000, where he quickly became
a student of the Bible. He has taught and mentored new converts,
youth, and adults, both through his books and in settings such as
seminars, bible studies, and of course, Sunday School.
As
Director of Christian Education in 2002, Anderson published his
first book "A Good Soldier of Jesus Christ. In 2003 he went
on to publish his second book "Salvation or Deception?"
In
late 2003 Anderson received a revelation that revealed that the
traditional Christian Church is not what God intended. After discovering
through study, research and experience he began to see a huge chasm
between the current traditional church and New Testament realities.
In
2004 he embarked on a five year journey to find answers to questions
and issue that plague the Church and contradict scripture. Five
years of research led to the contents of his latest book, "Clever
Lies and Assumptions from the Pulpit to the Pews".
In
2009, searching for a better, more effective way to minister F.
L. Anderson left the traditional church to be a part of a growing
phenomenon.
According
to a study of church attendance, "The
American Church in Crisis," found only about 20 percent
of Americans actually show up in church on any given Sunday. Many
are unable or unwilling to attend or participate in traditional
and institutionalized "Churches" for many reasons. Disillusioned
by the lack of New Testament realities, such as denominational protocols,
abusive authority, work schedules, economics and the spreading apostasy
within large segments of institutionalized Christianity. A growing
number of people are tired of the usual type of church experience,
suggesting that they want more of God and less of a church characterised
by consumerism and the stuff that gets between them and their relationship
with God.
Today,
F. L. Anderson is elder, minister, counselor, mentor, and teacher
of the Gospel to Bible studies and House/Simple Church fellowships
he has established in the Houston area (Matthew 28:19).
